Abstract

The present study investigates the complex interplay between psychological empowerment and teacher effectiveness, aiming to provide insights into how teachers' sense of empowerment impacts their teaching performance. Through a mixed-methods approach, we have analyzed both quantitative data from a sample of teachers and qualitative data gathered through interviews and focus groups. The findings reveal that psychological empowerment significantly contributes to teacher effectiveness, as it fosters a positive mindset, promotes autonomy, and enhances job satisfaction, which in turn leads to improved classroom management, more engaging teaching methods, and higher student achievement. The study also highlights the importance of school and classroom environments in nurturing psychological empowerment, as well as the need for professional development opportunities that cater to individual teachers' needs. This research underscores the importance of addressing factors that contribute to psychological empowerment to ultimately enhance the effectiveness of teachers and, consequently, the quality of education.
